Uses
Nimesulide is used to treat pain, inflammation and fever. It is classified as a cyclooxygenase 2 inhibitor (COX-2) selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
it is used to treat conditions such as acute pain, osteoarthritis and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) in adolescents and adults above 12 years old.
Nimesulide 100 mg tablets should be taken with food, it will prevent from getting any upset stomach. Normally, the person should try to use a small amount of Nimesulide for controlling the symptoms for the shortest possible time. The normal and usual dosage of Nimesulide is 100 mg twice a day. Dosages for children are 5 mg/kg of body weight and 2 or 3 divided doses.
Precautions

Nimesulide can cause side effects on the liver that are mild to extreme. The doctor should be aware of any liver abnormalities, whether present or in the past, in order to ensure protection.
