Uses of Pileen Lotion

Scabies is a skin condition caused by an infestation of mites. They lay eggs and grow in your skin causing itching, redness, and irritation, if not treated. Pileen Lotion is used in the treatment of scabies when other treatments have failed or are not suitable for use.

Warnings and Precautions

Scabcare 1 % Lotion is for external use only. Gently apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area as instructed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after each application. Avoid using more or less than the recommended dose. Do not leave it on your skin for more than 8-12 hours as it may increase the risk of side effects. Wash off the lotion with warm water. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth as it may cause irritation. Scabcare 1 % Lotion may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor if you have any other skin conditions, liver problems, seizures (fits), or are taking any medicines. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using this medicine.

When not to use?

Allergy

Avoid using Scabcare 1 % Lotion if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Neonates and premature infants

Scabcare 1 % Lotion is not recommended for use in neonates and premature infants as this medicine penetrate easily into their skin and their liver will not be well developed to break down this medication. This may lead to serious side effects.

Uncontrolled seizure

A seizure is a condition in which nerve cell activity in your brain is disturbed, causing uncontrolled jerking of the body. Scabcare 1 % Lotion is not recommended for use if you have seizures (fits) due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.
